WHO'S WHO IN THE MENDIP MORRIS MEN
John Burgess
Our President is John Burgess who has been with the club, man and boy, for the best part of forty years. He succeeds Len Luckwill who, sadly, died in June 2005.
Our Treasurer is expert fiddler Pete ‘Tommo’ Thompson though he’d never dream of fiddling the books especially as his day job is with the Inland Revenue!
Chris
Squire Chris Avery is a man of letters… and paperclips, pens, staplers, sellotape, envelopes and post-it notes (he owns and runs a stationery store)!
Former Met man Alf Denham is our Archivist, meticulously cataloguing our ever-increasing mounds of memorabilia, though Hilda tries desperately to stop it filling the spare bedroom.
Squire
Immediate Past Squire, Geoff King is now enjoying a well-earned rest after his second stint in charge of the side.
Higgs
Foreman Peter Burgess takes a step in the right direction every Monday night at practice when he drills the men in the finer points of our dance repertoire.
Doug When not standing in the terraces of Ashton Gate, Doug Schofield is our Bagman, looking after the activities of the side. Most men think Overseas Bagman Brian Henshaw is the most important man in the side. Dozens of overseas trips and every one a winner.
Always a sartorial dresser, Ragman Andy Sims ensures the men are immaculately turned out at all times.
